HR Development

Do any of these scenarios sound familiar?

  • We need a strategy to attract, develop, and retain the right talent for the future.
  • We’re growing fast – how do we build our HR function in the right way and in the right order to support our growth journey?
  • We lack a professional HR function and need to establish processes and routines from the ground up.
  • We’d like support in conducting an HR audit to get a clear picture of where we stand – understanding our strengths, risks, and areas for improvement within HR.

A well-functioning HR function is a critical part of any successful organization. But creating structures and processes that truly support both business goals and employee needs can be a challenge. What’s needed – and in what order – when building a strong HR structure?

We help companies build a solid HR function, either from the ground up or based on existing processes. Many of our clients are growing companies, and we support them in building things right from the start. In other cases, where an HR function is already in place, the need may be for an HR audit – a structured review to assess the current state of HR, identify strengths and areas for improvement, and set clear priorities.

Sometimes, the first step is to conduct an employee survey to understand the state of your organizational culture, levels of engagement, stress, workload, and perceptions of leadership.

Our goal is to support HR work that truly makes a difference – bringing clarity and helping the organization grow sustainably.

In short: We know how to develop HR!

We often support our clients by conducting a systematic audit and evaluation of HR policies, routines, and processes. The aim is to ensure compliance with labor laws and alignment with business goals. We assess what’s working well and identify what needs to be improved or developed.

Establishing a solid HR function from the ground up creates long-term conditions for growth and sustainability. Whether you’re a fast-growing company or in a phase where your HR structure needs strengthening, we help lay the foundation for everything from recruitment and onboarding to work environment, leadership support, and company culture. We ensure your HR processes not only meet legal requirements but also become strategic tools that drive engagement, development, and business results.

Using the “Attract, Recruit, Develop, Retain, Exit”-model we design and refine the HR processes and routines that are missing or not working in your organization. Our support is always tailored to your unique needs and context.

Intenco offers professional coaching for HR leaders as part of our service portfolio. This program is designed for HR Leaders who need external support and a strategic sparring partner in their role. Our coaching programs are suitable for those who, for example:

  • Are new in the HR Leader role or have recently transitioned into a new position

  • Need support to structure the HR agenda and set clear priorities going forward

  • Are facing challenges where concrete support, sparring, or guidance is required

  • Need coaching on how to best build, engage and lead their HR team

  • Need coaching on how to effectively take their place in the Executive Leadership Team and in collaboration with the management group

Each program is tailored to the individual participant’s specific needs. All of our coaches have extensive experience as HR leaders themselves and are therefore able to coach, share experience, and provide guidance on a wide range of topics.

Program Structure

At Intenco, we follow a clear methodology within our coaching programs – a structure that has proven to be effective even though each individual situation is, naturally, unique. During the initial meeting, expectations are aligned, and an agreement is made regarding a personalized approach. Program goals are set, and together the coach and participant determine what should be prioritized based on the current context. The coach’s responsibility is to ensure the goals are realistic, time-bound, and measurable.

The individually tailored coaching process continues with focus on the agreed goals, at a meeting frequency suitable for the participant. Coach and participant meet regularly throughout the program period, up to once per week. In addition, the participant has ongoing access to support from their coach via email and phone between sessions.

Meetings are held either digitally via Teams or on-site at Intenco’s offices, always under strict confidentiality to ensure a safe environment for open dialogue. All Intenco coaches operate under confidentiality and adhere to ICF’s ethical guidelines for coaching.

A well-crafted employee handbook creates clarity and confidence for both employees and managers. It provides answers to key questions about your company’s policies and routines and serves as a daily reference as well as a guide in times of change. Whether you need a brand new handbook or want to update an existing one, we make sure it reflects your company culture, complies with legal standards, and becomes a living document that supports both your work environment and organizational values.

If you need project management for implementing survey or pulse tools, help with analysis, or support for managers to act on the results – we’re here to help.
